Futons and beds website www.comfy-living.co.uk are going through some changes, and I am helping them with their SEO to get found in Google SERPs.
A social media campaign was launched on Twitter and Facebook, and a competition blog was created to give away one of the company's futons for free to anyone mainland UK. This worked really well as it was picked up on MoneySavingExpert and went viral online.
Using an affiliate company the futons and beds were made available for affiliate websites to earn commission by selling their bedroom furniture on their websites. MyVoucherCodes have performed really well so far and have provided excellent customer service.
The company are looking to hit Google Page 1 for the keywords futon and futons, currently they are hovering between page 3 and 4 so I'mm come back and report back to you in a few months time to report on any improvement.
The website was not verified in Google, Yahoo, Bing or Alexa, this priority work was carried out as soon as SEO work started, with some tweaks to the landing pages of the website to increase conversions of sales.
Most of the customers who visit the site are first time visitors so it's important to make buying a futon as easy as possible, so further changes to the site are in the pipeline to allow customers to buy a futon or bed in 4 clicks of the mouse.
